Default Rough country winches - any reviews?

Been thinking about ordering one. Read the topic in the vendor section and didn't hear anything bad but no real reviews yet

They are almost identical winches. Buddy of mine has the rc one an another has the smittybuilt. They are both very good winches they just have a real slow spool speed. It's not that big a deal you are gonna get out of whatever your trying to get out of. It's just gonna take you a couple extra mins to do it

Only thing about really slow winches, is that heat build up is what kills most winches. If you have to make a long pull you need to do the pull in short bursts, and let the winch cool for a bit between the burst so it will not overheat and burn out the solenoids.

Yea I guess that could be true. My buddy actually overloaded his alternator an power steering pump before his winch tho. I don't know I guess I don't do Manu things that would require more than a short pull or assistance from someone else too
