They are supposed to be good. I heard the shocks rust. That would drive me insane so I would decline, but many people have them.

You could fix the rusting with some spray on bed liner or undercoating. And I would be sure to get shock boots aswell.

You want the full leaf pack because an Add A Leaf rides like crap. And will sag out in a matter of a few months. Take the shock boots and throw them away. You'd be surprised how much stuff get in them even when they're new. Over a period of time the stuff stays damp and will destroy the shock (rust). Yeah, the boots are pretty and you can get them in different colors... but... I'd rather have my shocks a little longer.

As far as the surface rust of the shocks, yes they do... they get sandblasted as you drive. If you really want to keep them pretty, just buy a can of rustoleum spray bomb and paint them evey once in a while.

Send a Private Message to GRIMUS99XJ and ask him for a 3" kit. He will probably match or beat that deal you found on ebay. It's best to go through Rough Country themselves in case something comes up or there's an issue. He's a member here and works for Rough Country and does a heckuva good job!

You'll want to not get RC's shocks. I think Jason told me that their shocks weren't that great. You could upgrade to their newer ones, forgot the name though.

Yeah and the weird thing is they are not available for the xj? I see it's only listed for wranglers. Kinda strange. You can't buy just the shocks either. I don't see them for sale on the website, only the basic and nitro shocks.
