Default Roof Racks

Whats up everyone!
First post sorry if this is a repeat thread i searched for a little while and came up short.

I have welded my own safari rack dimensions are 54w x 60L
I am looking to mount it. was thinking factory rails? i have had no luck finding the feet for the existing roof rack for my thule that i had on my previous vehicle however did find some used on ebay. they are thule 417 tracker.
My question is should i get the set up for the thule bars or just mount it with a u bolt like a sport rack. There won't ever be much weight up there (spare tire is on the JCR rear bumper)
Any suggestions?

Since you already made the basket I'm sure you can make your own rails. I used 1x1 square tube and short pieces of 1x3/16 plate for mine, cut them to the exact length to fit and welded them directly to the basket.

I could i am assuming you are talking about the crossbars. Thats the easy part if i went that way. I have 48" bars already. Then if i understand you correct would make my own gutter mounts?

How did you do your gutter mounts? It looks like you have a piece of tube running the length of the gutter? That seems like a better idea for weight distribution, just curious how you mounted from there.
