Care must be taken with the amount of weight in the roof rack when off road. It makes them on the top heavy side and we don't want that.


I have mine filled also but limit the weight to < 50# and 12" in height. I use large rectangle 24x36x12" Rubbermaid containers that latch. I have lots of trees where we wheel at and limbs are a problem every time out, in fact in one of those boxes I carry a small chain saw with fuel, oil, extra chain, etc. and a few other tools.


I'm also one of those people who would rather have something and not need it than the other way around.
