Default Roof Bar Strength?

Im seriously considering mounting my tyre on my roof... but I dont want to start drilling up there to fit a mount (my jeep leaks enough as it is!). So I was thinking of just mounting straight onto the factory roof bars, but they seem kinda flimsy. Do you think a couple of ratchet straps is safe?... I know its been done, and ive seen a couple of pics.. just thought Id ask for the experiences of those who have done it. I will get a basket up there asap, but cash flow is slow right now. Thanks guys.

add a 3rd bar and you will be fine... they are strong but you need center support...

My rack is mounted to the stock roof rails and I have a 33/12.50 mounted up there so I don't see y u couldn't put your spare up there on the stock rails just slide them together and throw a strap around it
