Default How to tell how big your lift is?

So i bought my 95 jeep cherokee sport from a guy who bought it from a kid who joined the army and didnt need it. The guy i bought it from also ended up not needing it and thats why i have it. So here comes my question.

It has 31" tire but i cant figure out if its a 3" or maybe 3.5" or heck even a 4". I need new shocks... I mean i NEED new shocks. The ones on there are starting to not really help much when going over bumps. And im pretty sure i need that info to buy new shocks.

I am using my ipod touch and dont know how to add pics so if u want some pics i have them in my album. And thank you in advance for helping me

Judging from the pics in the album it doesnt look lifted to me. Maybe a bb, but just looks like a stock cherokee without flares and 31's.

Umm look at the control arms and see if they are the factory boxed ones, also look at the rear and see if the shackles are extended. Another thing to look at is the front coils springs. See if you have spacers or if they are just coils. Sometimes it can be hard to tell if you have a small lift. Especially of it has been on the jeep for a while.

I have a stock parts jeep and it looks the same for the shocks and what not. It has bigger axles and all that stuff but the shocks dont really look different between the two... Its too dark for me to grab pics.

Is 250 fir a rough country lift kit a good deal?

Depends on how much lift your looking for. I would go with full packs in the rear instead of AAL. It costs a bit more but you will be better off in the long run. PM Grimus, who can be found in the vendor section. He is the rough country vendor for the forum. He will hook you up with a forum discount and he is a pretty cool guy that knows what he's talking about.

Yes if its been trimmed it wont be accurate.if you had a fender flare you could maybe hold it in place and measure
