I think he learned his lesson, guys...
Drifting is stupid when you're near curbs. I've drifted mine before (just to see if I could)... But never hit a curve.
Being careful is always good.
Anyway, did you guys even read this?
He was in a dirt lot... Not on a public roadway... I guess now the cops'll be arresting autocrossers and NASCAR drivers?
Lol... Read before you comment, guys.
Anyway, OP, just find a clean '97-'01 with a blown motor and swap all of your stuff over, or find one way past its prime and cut the top and everything you need off, then weld it onto yours.
Make sure the uni-frame is straight, though... Looks like it took a hard landing.
Or you could do something really awesome and cut the top totally off, put in a rollcage, and then make a soft top, and have a wrangler-esque Cherokee... That would be badass.

To the OP glad that the end result is just the bill and the embarisment of rolling the jeep. sound like you are aware it could have been worse. take the lickings and move on finding another body might be the best option. then turn the wrenchs yourself. remember we all have been there. like the cop told me when I was 18 rolled my vr6 jetta twice and end over ended it once. "you are lucky to be alive, I can throw the book at you but thats not going to help you learn."
If you were doing that in my neighborhood, that JEEP would be in worse condition than that. Driving is a privilege and a responsibility. How it is that you're not in jail right now is beyond me. Reckless endangerment, speeding, if those that were in the JEEP with you were under 18 there would be child endangerment charges (felonies in NY).... The last thing you need to do right now is worry about another vehicle. I urge the moderators and admin of this forum to report this member to the local authorities for investigation.

So getting back to the original topic. If I were you I'd probably graft a new roof on there, most likely the easier and cheaper way to go and while you've got the top off you could always cage it!
CF member Atmos replaced a large section of his roof (including A pillar) after flopping his XJ (the one that didn't catch on fire). He has a pretty detailed write up on his build thread...

I can't believe the butthurt and personal offense taken by people who were in no way harmed by what happened. Like they've never ever suffered a moment of poor judgement.

So I'm really considering choppin the roof off, caging it, and making it a soft top but I'm not sure if it's too structurally damaged for that to work? Here's some pics of the a pillars and all other parts of the unibody structure seem to be fine. Just wonderin what you guys think. Thanks!
