Instead of telling me to "STFU", he could have stated; "It depends on how bad the damage is", or "Can it be repaired via body kits?".
Again, I don't see what the big deal is. I come to these forums to learn, and be inspired. As do the majority of the CF members. Not to be told to keep my mouth shut.

What your post should of said:
" are you planning on doing the welding your self? If so the 2x6 would be a smarter idea."
Not what ever you said about people not being able to weld.

Plus check it.
There has got to be 50+ threads on how to do it...
This dude was asking where to find rockers at. Not how to do them.
I'm not being a **** just stating what I'm seeing. Been around a while.

Again; I wasn't going to make any suggestions to the OP, because I didn't want to falsify information. Specifically about something I know next to nothing about.

It was a convenience having this thread pop up the same moment I came on to get rocker help.

Yes I was out of line, was in a mood, and I appolagize.
Good luck on your rockers they are a poor design from the factory and are inevitably going to go if you live in the northern hemisphere, or any place that see snow where the roads are treated.

looks like everyone would rather get butt hurt than answer the OP's question

Honestly though, if your going to do any kind of wheeling, this is the better way to go. They double as sliders and you can use the whole side of your jeep as a jacking point for a high lift. My rockers were rusted out like yours and I welded in 2x4 with some short extension sliders. Also, the metal for the sliders was cheaper than the two rocker panels are going to be.
