Question ROCK LIGHTS! 4x4 "NEONS" lol

Whats up CF?

So, i am making my second trip to Uwharrie National forest down here
in the carolinas.. and i wanted to throw some fancy lighting on the jeep.

does anyone have any pics or videos of rock lights on their cherokee.
I was trying to figure out a cheap brand that people may use to put rocks lights under the jeep. Something that is durable, that can take a little bit of mud and water thrown up at them..
And where should i mount them to get the full potential and looks of rock lights.

Any ideas?! or pictures!?

THANK YOU!

I have 8 tractor impliment lights around my Jeep... But I don't like the light they emit. (Sorta of a yellowish color). You can see them in the photos. But I also have these LED strips I purchased on Ebay.

These are 18 inch strips that I paid $1 dollor each/with $1.39 in shipping EACH. So $2.39... My Jeep has 16 total below it.

6 on each side
2 in the front
2 in the rear

Take a piece of 1 inch angle, and use double sided tape to mount them to the angle. then run a second row. Esentially making a stick of LED. The lights pull almost NO power. And you can see the output. I have about $65 bucks into the LEDs and tape, and angle. The angle is bolted to the inner part of my rock slide AWAY from anywhere they will get hit...

Here are the photos...

Although I feel that this belongs in chat, I'll play. I have 3" by 1" lights attached to the floor protected by the rock sliders for the rear and 2" by 4" lights secured to the inner fender protected by the outer fender for the fronts.

I have an off road mag that has a full size cherokee running 40something inch tires, they have under body lights. Its a really cool idea. And with LED technology, those are a great option.

How well are they sealed? Pretty water resistant?

Got normal driving lights from advanced auto,
Read some stuff online & slot of people have been using the normal "ricer" lights. I RVT seal them, and drilled the brackets to the unibody were there are existing holes. Looks sick!

People love it, going to URE this Thursday, can't wait to use them(((:

I like how a lot of the XJ's look with the rock lights. Looks like it'd make working under them at night easy without a flashlight too! I can only imagine some of the comments from the local ricers about them though..

Say I got 6, 2 up front, 2 in the back and 2 on the side, How would I go about wiring them to one switch?

I wouldn't do that, I have 4 lights & wired 2 to one switch & the other two to another. If you were to do that, I'd use at least 2 switches, 3 on each & a relay.

No pic, but I got waterproof LED light strings (48") from ebay. These lights have 3m adhesive on back which is good to put them where you want them. I got 4 strands for under $15.00 shipped. Put one on each side and split one between the front and rear. Lots of light, real low power draw.

The 4th one is going to get cut up and used inside under the dash, and other places I see fit.

Nice thing about the LED strands is you can cut them to the length required.
