My experience with 505 has been nothing short of awesome.

This is obviously somebody that is closely associated with the company.

extrashaky we hired 505 to finish restoring our 1954 Jeep. We ended up having to hire an attorney to issue a replevin order and post a $200K bond to try to get it back. 505 would not turn over the Jeep even with the replevin order, so we had to go to court. The court awarded us the cost of what we had into the jeep plus our attorney fees and costs as a Judgement against 505. We then had to spend $35K to collect it from 505. So that's the how we lost the jeep that was a family heirloom. So now we are without our Jeep and $35K in the hole.

Do they still have the Jeep, or did they sell it? Do you have any hope of getting it back?

It sounds like they stole your vehicle. How is there not a criminal case against them?

Yeah, but it's not just thread necro for its own sake. It's new info on an old subject. And pretty interesting info at that.

Thread revival with new info is fair game, right?

That is the damn truth right there.... and don't let the door hit him in the butt on the way out.

Regardless where the ultimate blame lays in this case.... I just think it's a cryin' shame about the worthless excuse for customer service these days. Or should I say the complete lack there of.....
Wish we could get those days back.

Please see case number CV2016-052229 with Superior Court of Arizona, County of Maricopa Remark vs Zach Steele dba 505 Performance. We prevailed in court and won a judgment of $86,201.99 plus $4567 in cost and $58,504.50 in attorney's fees. Then and had to spend over $35K more in costs and attorney's fees to collect the judgment..... buyer beware. We've attached the recorded judgment for your reference.
This is a post that does not need to be here, but since it is we will respond. 505 Performance was contacted to finish this 1954 basket case. A $5000 deposit was put down to begin the project with an estimated build cost of $30K and of this approx $20k in parts. An invoice (estimation to build) was given to and signed for by customer (Rick Remark). There was no time-line/ time frame - we are motor builders and we only take on 1-2 project vehicles a year. We have had many of our builds in magazines, been on the cover of JP and other off road magazines a time or two, and a few TV shows. At any rate, the project began in the beginning of our business relocating from NM to Arizona. Vehicle was picked up in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve 2015 per customer's sense of urgency to get it away from the current shop it was at. After having the project for only 3 weeks the customer wanted to pick up vehicle and take to yet another shop and they wanted it done quickly. In this 3 week period we had purchased many of the "special order" items to begin the build of the 1954 ******. We explained to the customer all parts must be paid for and we would return what we could with a 20% restock fee. The customer back charged their credit card, demanded the vehicle, after 3 months of no contact and no payment we began the Mechanic's Lien process and moved the project to outside storage. After a year we went to court representing ourselves with our mechanic's lien - they had a bond of replevin, which as a business owner we did not know it could override a mechanic's lien, and they had a high priced attorney. The judgement was $149,396.74. We offered to return the project back to them in the same condition as when we received it, but they refused the vehicle and wanted the cash. We paid the judgement in full in the timeframe we were allotted by the court. The Remarks and their high priced attorney were greedy and nasty in trying to get paid sooner so a lot more attorney fees were incurred by the Remarks. Once we paid the judgement in full on June 26, 2017 the Remarks tried to get us to pay post judgement fees due to their greedy ways - we hired an attorney and the judge ruled in our favor.
On a side note: Now that we have this project........ For anyone interested in what is to come, we will be posting soon to our Facebook page to show the full restoration. We are calling it the "Labor of Love ******: Road to Barrett Jackson". It will be the first 1954 400hp 4cyl Jeep ****** Truck in the world. We have contacts with several off-road magazines and members of Good Guys, so she could be on her way to a cover shoot before heading off to auction. Check out our Facebook page and our website for updates www.505performance.com
