Rhino lined then re-painted?
Ive been wanting to rhino line my xj but I really like my color. So my wife came up with the idea of rhino lining it then repainting the red over it. Just looking at buying the spray can from an auto parts store that is my original color. Has anyone done this and does anyone have pics of their's done? Curious of how it will look. Prefer red xj's but will love to see all that are done in any color. Really liking the idea she came up with just not real sure about it! Post them pics please!!

Look up monstaliner by magnet paints they make colored bedliner. There is a thread on jeep forum vendor section where members show the rigs they painted with it, it looks pretty sweet and can be rolled or sprayed. It comes in a bunch of colors. Can't link you im on my phone but google should point you in the right direction

Herculined mine about a year ago, the black is turning grey... one of these days I plan to scrub the crap out of it, get all the dirt, sap, and skin off and give it a rattle can job on top of the liner. Just a warning with the bed liner jobs, they are impossible to get clean, you can hit it with a pressure washer and scrub for hours and still have dirt when it dries.

There's a Wrongler at my school that has this, repainted with a desert sand kind of color. It looks cool. I'm going to bedliner my xj then paint over it next time I need to paint.

I have pics of the entire process all the way down to test panels with the bedliner left unsanded versus sanded and painted over and then pics of the painting process itself if they'd help....
My 93 (the green and black one in the thread above) has been done about a year and half and has held up perfectly and yes I wheel it a lot on the farm through brush, wooded trails, mud, etc. I'm not careful with it

get colored bedeliner or use tractor and epliment paint. its a super tough epoxy based paint. almost as strong as the bedliner itself. get that international red and go to work on it!
