Somehow I have ended up doing quite a few SYE kits lately for friends and my plethora of snap ring pliers aren't getting the job done (I have them ranging from mild to wild).
In doing a Google search I ran across retaining ring/lockring pliers which have a different shape head than conventional snapring pliers.
I am willing to buy a pair but wanted to see what you guys who have them find works the best.
Brand/part number would be ideal . . .

When I did my sye I struggled with snap ring pliers for like 30 minutes. Went and bought lock/retaining ring pliers from autozone and did the job in 10 seconds. I just got the cheapo off brand

You definitely need the type of snap ring pliers that are made for locking rings without the little holes at the ends.
