Default Replacing Clutch master Cylinder-- NEED HELP!!

The clutch master went. Can anyone give me thorough instructions, maybe little things to do to ensure this doesn't happen again for a long time. I got one from Advance Auto for $35. picking it up tomorrow. I know i have to bleed the system, but the slave doesn't look like it has a bleeder screw.

Truck stats:

-1986 AMC/ Jeep Comanche Custom. 2.5L. 4 spd. 2wd. 130,908 orig. miles (Body, Trans., Engine, etc.)
-Sat dormant for 12 years before I bought it.
-Trans shifts great, and clutch was fine.
-I know its the master because with the truck off, if you remove the cap to the master and watch the fluid level, when you depress the clutch, the fluid does not move, bubble, anything. Must be clogged somewhere. So i figured the slave isn't getting sufficient fluid to operate.

Please help, this is my daily driver, need to go to school and work. Thanks guys

I dont believe so. It looks to be one solid line. Owners before me may have done it themselves

I was looking at it in school, and it seems that there is no bleeder screw on either the slave or master??? Do i crack the fitting loose?

The top is the bleeder screw. Under that is inlet tube disconnect.

I just bought my comanche 3 weeks ago. it was sitting in a field for 10 years. put new gas in and it fired right up. for an old 2.5 it moves for what it is.

If you do have to do the master it can take a few pumps to get the clutch working, so don't get frustrated.

ok guys. just got back home. all fixed now. Clutch feels brand new. will post pics tomorrow of what I did. was too much of a b!tch to get the bleeder loose from underf the truck, so... I cut open the tunnel on the passenger side. was so much easier.

thanks again guys.

Did you use two wrenches? One holding the line and other on the bleeder screw?

It didn't have what you showed me, it was like this:

-MASTER-----METAL LINE------RUBBER LINE-----METAL LINE--SLAVE BLEEDER
--| | |--------| | | |---------| | | | |---------| | | |----| | | | |
--V V V--------V V V V---------V V V V V---------V V V V---V V V V V
[][][][][]==============oooooooooooooooo===========[][][][][][]/

The bleeder screw wast on the back end of the slave, COVERED in rust. thats why i couldn't find it.

sorry. Didnt take pics. will take some tomorrow. forum wont let me do what i want to do, but you get the picture
