Removing hatch??

Default Removing hatch??

93 XJ.. Anybody know how to get the little caps out of the hatch hinge that cover the screw heads?

Not sure, but why do you need to remove the hatch?

Just partin out a 93 and my cousin wants to save the hatch.. Try and make a few bucks.

Its almost like the the caps are some sort of plug thats pressed into the head of the screw or something. We tried pickin and pryin with little screwdrivers and picks, but no luck.

Well I went out and looked at mine and it looks like there might be nuts on the inside. I'm not sure, but looks like those "covers" could have bolt studs in the back side of them..

Just went outside the shop and looked.. Your absolutely correct. Nuts on the inside. I could of swore the nuts were welded to the inside when i looked last week.
