Removing doors?
If there was anywhere in NJ that you'd get in trouble for being doorless it would be in Seaside Heights. So if you can do it there, you can do it anywhere.
And I agree, it would look better with all 4 doors off not just 2.
I had all four off for a couple of weeks. Today I put them back on and the rear ones are having problems lining up correctly and have to be lifted and slammed in order to close fully. Just another pain in the *** but I guess it's pretty common- something to keep in mind. Other than that, I loved having them off and had no problems with cops here in NM!

Here's what keeps me legal in VA, all VA requires is the driver's side mirror and either the rear view mirror (providing you can see out of the rear window) or the passenger side mirror.

Couple self-tappers and a Advanced Auto universal mirror is all it is. The top one is all I need to remove to reinstall the doors, the bottom screw stays in place and I just slide the mirror down over it.
This question is for the guys especially who don't run the flares too. Do you guys ever get hit with anything flying off the tires when going down the highway? Small rocks, sand ect..? I see how on the trails that the interior gets really mudded up, just curious about issues with it ON road. Thanks.

Every now and then I'll feel a rock or something hit the bottom of my shoe/sandal if I've got my foot on the vice grip that I use as a peg, I've never been hit by anything with all of me completely inside. All the mud on my dash is from wheeling with the windows down lol, I've never been anywhere but sand with the doors off.

You can keep the mud and water from coming through the fenders (should you have your inner fenders removed) with some expandable foam, or by doing this.

Pool noodle.

Pool noodle.
Thanks for the responses guys. I don't have trimmed fenders yet so the noodles are not yet needed. I was more concerned with stuff flying from the tires more than anything. I have basically new Cooper STT's and these things grab and throw everything while on the trails. If I decide to do this down the road, I kind of know what to expect. Thanks again.
