Go to painless wiring and look up the door jamb connectors. I'll be using them. You will no longer have wires in the door jam period

I'm thinking doorless occasionally in the summer just to freak out the kids in Highland Park in St. Paul or Uptown or Northeast in Minneapolis. Sort of like stringing Christmas lights. Has nothing to do with seeing better and I think I'd like doors when driving to Northern MN : )

They eliminate wires running across door jambs. The contact when closed. Look em up. Makes more sense when ya see em

Only problems I have had really are the driver side door not lining up very good, and the wiring in the door jam.. Your hinges are the "easy to mess with hinges".. Mine are a little more intricate but still basically the same concept..good idea with the sound bar!

Both my XJ's have the same hinges, didn't know they had different types. Sound bar works great, one of the best creature comfort items I've done, number one best was a pair of Recaro buckets from a totaled Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS.

I didn't use quick pins, I cut the hinge lower half and retained the original pins.
