i have the option of buying a 97 xj with a currie 9in in it. locked and geared. thinking of selling my rear axle what would it be worth i have a mountian of money in it. i think the ox locker was 900 and the cable and hadle is extra gears disk brakes ect this thing worth 1000? to 1500?

only reason i would do this is i know the 9 inch is tough and the 44 is tough aswell. i can buy the 97 with 9inch very reasonable and probably pull rear end throw a 8.25 and sell it for same amount. maybe thing to do is buy it pull rear axle and sell the axle and put a stock rear back under jeep and call it a day.

so whats a currie 9 inch worth with a non selcetable locker?
or my pristene 44 with ox, gears, disks and shock mounts moved up also.

if you're looking for strength, the 9 for sure.

if just monetary, that ox is worth a grand alone. so it depends on what locker is in the 9.

i'd go with the 9, sell your 44 and get an 8.25 with 29 spline to throw under and sell that jeep. unless it's built and deserves your 44...
