Default Rear Diff. Color Question?

So Im heading out to the drive to service my rear diff. It was leaking from the rubber plug. so i got a new plug and oil. My cover is filthy and got gunk all over it. So i figured while i had it off i would clean, sand and hit it with some paint so in the future it will be easier to spray off gunk, mud and other junk that cakes up. So ive decided on red so it will stand out. I bought two different types of paint (both red) but im not sure which one to use. I have one that is regular acrylic high gloss enamel spray paint and the other is engine enamel that has a little gloss but more of a flat and its high temp. ill be spraying in about an hour so any quick response would be appriciated!

id go with the high gloss. mud washes off so much better & looks cooler when dark out & people pull up behind you. really stands out. just my .02

I dont think you need the high temp paint. Hot engins need that but your diff shouldnt get hot. As long as you do the prep work the regular spray paint should work.

They do get hot but not hot enough where you need high temp paint.
If it ever got that hot then you'd have to start searching for a new diff lol

Go with the stronger of the two paints, which I assume would be the high temp paint. If you go with the stronger of the two paints, it'll last longer.

Default Finished!

Cleaned and sanded all the old gunk and gasket off my diff and cover. Cleaned it real well then started to spray the regular gloss paint. Just wasnt the color i was going for and it was not covering very well. So I went with the high temp paint and it covered great. Here are a few pics. It was getting dark when i was finishing up so pics are so so.

Very nice.
I like orange the most as far as bright colors go. But for mine since the free lift cols I got are yellow. I think I am going to do my diff covers yellow, along with my tie rod.
