Get a OEM bumper from a JY and then go with Detours Tailbone. Absolutely awesome set up.

Install wasn't bad at all. Just takes some time.
I've got a 31" spare on it right now.
NO issues what-so-ever. Quality is amazing and I'll recommend this thing to everyone I can. Mark does a great job building his stuff.

cheaper than buying a bumper and tire carrier from anybody else. The only way to go cheaper would be to fab it up yourself. Or find a killer deal on either CL or eBay.

Staangs Fab has excellent pricing on XJ bumpers, give them a call. Last time I spoke to the owner(Eric) he mentioned he had been working on a tire carrier I believe.

Ive been looking at this, especially if you get a plain bumper with a 2 inch reciever. Its only $90 and if you search around i think they make ones that hold gas cans and more.

It doesn't look like that tire carrier pivots to make room for opening the rear hatch. Plus, you can't forget about keeping the license plate visible and lit to stay street-legal. I was looking at those a while back myself for my Suburban but rejected the idea. It's not easy storing a 35" tire inside a vehicle, even big ones! For the XJ, I just keep the spare on the roof rack.

if your talking about the front and rear bumperon ebay for $400 they look nice and the reviews are pretty good on them too, If you dont have the tools and the time to fab your own go with that
