Most of the kids who took this class were pot heads and kids who just wanted an easy grade so all they wanted to do was sit on the computers. Pisses me off that this is what auto tech classes have come to when theres kids like me and you out there actually wanting to learn.

hey atleast you guys have auto shop. spearfish high school dropped it even though there was great intrest in it. also all my stoner friends work on cars to.

You should replace the entire set at one time. They wear together, and putting a new chain on previoulsy worn srockets, is a very bad idea. This is why the teacher was acting like that, I'd bet he assumed you would pick it all up at once. My $.02, anyways...

I wish my high school would have had autoshop. And your autoshop teacher sounds like kind of a dick head. Granted, it might have been the right move for you to get the timing set, but there's no reason for him to kick your Jeep out of there.

Lol post up some more then bro and I should clarify my previous post, in no way is my auto shop teacher a moron, he knows his stuff, hes just a hard *** to the people who actually want to be in the class and graduate with a good grade and a good understanding of the different systems on an automobile. But he ignors people way to much. He dosent mind letting you do work but hes sarchastic and it comes off as being a smart *** at times.

Sorry about bad experiences in auto tech, that class has the potential of being the best class in school! I'm in the auto tech program at college and I'm loving it! Great professors all around. I get to do a lot of work on my XJ during class too, which i LOVE. My professor even helped me install and balance my BFG's just last month, had a blast doin' it.

Sweet man, ill check them out later then, and thats still pretty good lol last year we were going to put a cardboard body kit on my old instructors car while he was away but the superintendent didnt let us do it, so we just gave him a repair order with a bunch of crap on it like muffler bearings, trasnimssion fluid in the brake booster for better pedal travel ect. lol
