re gearing

Ok I'm planning on lift my xj with a 2" budget boost and run 30s for awhile but eventually upgrade to 31s what is a good gear ratio for my 96

There's no need to regear for a 31" tire. Anything more then 33" u want to regear.

I have been researching this too. Allthough its true that regearing for 31's is not needed; I am thinking about goin with 4.10s my self. I don't drive it fast anyway...its a jeep. But I would like to have alittle more grunt. I thought about goin 3.73s but I figured it would be a waste. I do plan on goin with 31s too
