I have a 95 xj that i drive and a 98 for parts. I was looking to make my doors removable. I have the know how for the electrical but I wondering if it would be easier to use the stock 95 hinges for it or to replace the hinges with the ones from the 98. I see a lot of people talking about "post 97" door hinges for their removable door projects, but not to many talk about pre 97. Anyway, thanks for the help!

When you go doorless, cut the hinges WITHOUT unbolting the doors. It'll save you alot of headache in aligning the doors. Just be ready to catch doors when you do the passenger side, that side door pin is welded in the bottom part of the hinge, not the top like the drivers. I'd recommend you putting a bead on it on the top, might be fine without it, but thats what i did. Oh and getting the ends of the pins pretty round actually IS important believe it or not.
