Hey all. I'm new to this forum but not new to jeeps. I had a cj7 in my younger days, a grand cherokee when they first came out and now I have a cherokee. My question is, my son just blew the motor in his 99 grand cherokee. Tranny was just re done 6 months ago, now this. I'm wondering what you think I could get for it so I could let him put it towards a wrangler or a cherokee. Body's in pretty good condition except for a crease in the rear drivers side fender. Leather is not torn anywhere and there are no major stains or smells. It was a dam nice jeep till he did this. So can I get some help. What should I expect to get for it ? Thanks

well pictures of inside and out would help... and but to give you a idea... Gf & I got this one for 1700 with blown motor... tires,lift, bumber.. all new.. so if its stock and motor blown... unless its in mint shape... 500 give or take a few hundred...

yea plus there are so many grand cherokees around here like that but usually the trans is bad, anyway they are common and most people really don't want to mess with that stuff... so 1000 would be max offer and you'd probably have to settle for like 800 but prices depend on options around you. Good luck.

PS. Maybe it would be best to set a running motor swapped in it then decide from there.

Thanks guys. I found a guy at work who said he'll take it this weekend, $600. It's outta my hair. Still pissed at my son, it was a really nice jeep
