Question Question for you online tire buyers...

When you bring your internet tires into a shop to get mounted, do the owners get real pissed off at you? Because they sure do to me. LOL

That's ridiculous, As long as you are paying them for a service they should treat you like any other customer. Now if you walked in wanting some free ****, yeah I kinda understand then.

I have a shop that I know the guys real well.
I usually pay one of the mechanics $25 to mount and balance them for me.
They are always happy toward me.

Take them to a regular garage instead of a tire store, they all have mount and balance gear

I have bought my tires at the same place for about 30 yrs and they can get anything I want. Plus they price match with free mounting, balancing, new valve stems.

I do buy a lot of tires though for my 7 cars, trucks, jeeps, Motor Home and 3 company trucks and 5 trailers so it helps. I do buy my Drag Slicks and ft. race tires from another source but he mounts them for free.

Tony if that guy treats you like ***** go elsewhere to spend your money. Surely you buy some of your tires locally that will treat you right.

I just asked STS this last week. How much to mount tires I bring. It depends the size he said. Starts at $30 per for Regular passenger tires. He didn't quote me for larger ones lol. Probably wants to see em first

I deal with this at my job in another way and I find it annoying but it's reality. I bought mine at a shop because I got free lifetime rotations! Tough for me to do in my driveway, ha ha.

I stopped using tire shops free lifetime rotation when Firestone ****ed my rims up. New tires went on in October. Had no snowfall or salt laid on the roadways. Come January when I needed to rotate them, they said they couldn't get the lug nuts off and it was probably seized on from the climate. Bull****, I've never had lug nuts seize. Now I do it myself no matter what. Even when I didn't have a driveway I did it in the street.

I like getting good service with the tires I buy locally... but paying $80-100 in sales tax just blows.

That is exactly why I hate anyone working on my junk.. They are either ignorant or do not care.

No hassle here. I do it all the time because they usually cannot beat the online prices. The shop I go to actually told me to buy them and bring them in.

I ordered my last set from TireBuyer.com Had them shipped to a TireBuyer installer for free and got a 40 dollar discount for having them shipped there. Ordered them on a Saturday and they were installed two days later before noon. Great service and at the best price also.

Tire Kingdom told me they're happy to mount my tires.

But yeah, they do get a little depressed at the fact that they're not turning their large tire prices upside your head.
