Default question on rear leafs

here is a pic of my rear leaf springs, you think a full aal will work or no?

looking at 3" lift probably rough country series 2 with leaf packs

also looking at the pro comp leaf packs #53111 then buy the rc series 2 with aal and then sell the aal

i have $600 to spend on a 2000 cherokee classic

they look inverted in the pic. I don't think anyone on here would recommend aal. Get full packs

You can get rubicon Express leafs for like 120 a piece from serious.
Then get some coils, shocks, and LCAS

packs. why spend the money on an AAL only to be sagging in less than 6 mos with them being shot like that. Do it right the first time and save money overall. jm2cnts

i was kinda hoping that i wouldnt have to bite the bullet but i guess i have to. i was trying to avoid the headaches that gets brought to the table when replacing full leafs.
another issue is the C8.25 that i have and the drive line vibes that may haunt me

Headaches with full packs???
i would think its more of a headache installing an AAL. you have to dissasemble the stock rusted packs.

i wouldn't worry about vibes either. t-case drop will get u through and they are cheap. you couls prolly make ur own. My RC 3" packs came with a shim allready installed on them.

just start spraying all the bolts with pb or better yet Kroil about 2 weeks out from the planned install. twice daily.

i was referring to the main leaf bolts getting stuck in the sleeves and the spot welds breaking off in the uni body on the fronts.. i figured it would be easier to do an aal or a bastard pack

I dont know what spot welds your talking about?
Unbolt them. If anything youll have to cut through your leaf pack to get to the bolt to get it out.. but ive never had to.

PB blast it and you should be fine.

He means the welds holding the nut on the inside of the frame rail. Sometimes they let go when the front leaf spring bolt is torqued and it becomes a real headache.

i think i found a kit with full leafs i might get. i do agree with everyone with full leaf packs.
researching horror stories about aal and spring wrap and trashing u joints.

i have 2 options that i would like to for full leafs i just have to make a decision between the two.

options are zone 3" with full packs
or rcII and buy procomp 53111 leaf springs (then sell the aal)
