Default question cutting my rear for fender flares

Well i think i screwed up cutting my rear for flares. When i trimmed them out i cut up past the past the spot welds causing a gap between the wheel well and outside sheet metal. My question is will bushwacker flares or any other flare on the market cover that gap?

No, no flare will cover that because they mount on the outside.

Take a welder to it and weld them back together. Depending on your situation you may need extra sheet metal to make it all fit again.

Yeah, I'd like to see a pic, too. But if you cut out those welds, you're going to want more than flares covering the gap. That's a structural seam for the unibody and you should weld it back together. If it's a wide gap, you may end up welding in a piece of metal to fill it in.

TJ flares! and they're cheep!!
I started out riviting past the weld then cutting. I've done this on 2 XJs.
Since then I've cut more out and welded the sheet metal back together.

The setup below is
4.5" leafs with .75" shackles and 2" bumpstop spacers with 33" tires.
No rubbing in the rear.

i never cut it up past the inner fender well, i can push the outer metal and butt it up to the inner fender well so i think i can just spot weld it. I'll try to post a few pics later on. What i did was cut on the very upper line where it dips down to the actual flat fender metal if that makes sense.
