Default Question about tires

Hello I have a 2000 Cherokee classic it currently has a tire size of 225/70/16 i purchased a set of P235\75\16's I was curious to see if they would fit before attempting this project without modifying body

Yes, they will fit. There is a small chance of some small amount of rubbing--30" diameter tires are the line at which most stock XJ's are ok, but some aren't.

Your speedometer and odometer will be off unless you switch your speedo gear because your tires will be 1" larger in diameter. Changing the speedo gear is extremely easy to do.

That's pushing it using that size without a small lift, a lot depends on the backspacing of your wheel on rubbing.

^ Got to agree my 235/75-15's are 29.1" on stock steel rims. Those 235/75-16 are as much as 29.8". Mine under certain conditions will rub the left lca.
