Question about message center thingy

Default Question about message center thingy

Iv got an 89 Laredo and in the little message center thing it has where it says brake, low washer, check engine and there is a green one that says FULL TIME and then I have this other one that is just an arrow and I have no idea what FULL TIME. Means or what the little arrow mean can anyone help?

Full Time means full time 4x4, as in your in 4WD, part-time is better for offroad it doesn't differentiate front and rear, but can damage the transfer case on the road. Full Time 4x4 does diff front and rear, good on the road. Little arrow sounds like a turn signal... if ALL that stuff is on, it sounds like your Jeep is pretty messed up, at least electrically.

So how do I use full time haha I'f i might ask like iv never used it or know how to use it

Full time is simply all four wheels getting power, and you can drive like that on the street. I don't have full time, just part time. Like I said- I have almost no technical knowledge.

The arrow is a shift light. If it is stuck on, something is wrong. Also if the Full time light is on, push the tcase lever down into 2H, running 4x4 all the time burns more gas than necessary. If it is in 2 already, you have some electrical problems

No it's all off I was just curious to what they did I didnt they made the 89 that had a full time 4wd option the light has never came on in all 22 years
