First, everyone on here is going to have their own opinion on which brand of lift is better. Bottom line, have a budget, do your homework, and go with what you feel will best meet your needs.
Second, Rusty's does make very good lifts. I went with Rusty's after talking to a lot of different people about their off-roading experiences (professional shops, seeing people with lifted XJ's, friends who have wheeled their whole lives, etc). I'm running their 3" spring pack and I personally haven't had any issues at all. I wouldn't say I've gone hardcore on anything yet, but on a scale of 1-10, I've probably gone to about a 6, maybe briefly hit 7, at the most and my XJ did fine.
Third, whatever lift you go with, do full spring packs.

I agree with your statement, I asked around and for the most part people love the customer service and the parts, but with anything, there are just a handful of unhappy people, but from all the reviews I read there weren't many issues with the part integrity, but of shipping the wrong size part, etc.
I went with the 3" add a leaf lift, besides the potential of some vibration in the rear, why always go with the full pack? My leafs are in decent shape and Rusty's add a leaf has to go in the middle of the pack, I would think this is a better configuration that adding it on the bottom or top like other mfgs (ie. RE)

AAL's tend to sag a lot sooner than full packs and you don't have as good of ride quality with AAL's. Adding it to the middle is better, but full packs are always the way to go IMO.

I've done this setup and it works really well. I'll eventually go to true disco's, but for now, $7 is a killer deal on removing your front sway bar in 30 seconds.

the quality of Rustys offroad suspension kits and other parts is JUST FINE. it may not me the most bullet proof lift kit you can buy but it will hold up just fine compared to other brands

Thanks for all the info everyone! This is my first real post for my 2000 xj. My hopes is to turn this into a fun driving summer/ full daily winter/ snow sports vehicle. I have a rack for it, I'm adding the lift now, new tires, steering stabilizer, then lights, new tie rod config, and I'm having to do a little rust work under my driver floor mat and rear window gasket,
My co worker says jeep stands for "Just empty every pocket' Which I don't necessarily agree with....yet. But is it weird that I kind of want to?
