Yea it has a lot to do with music choice. I like Heavy metal and hip hop, so between the double bass and then the hits from hip hop, I really need something strong, hence the sub

Front Speakers (already have):

Rear Speakers:

Subs:

I'm need about $550 to get 2 6x9" and the 2 12" Subs pack. Hoping to finish it all off with whatever I get for Christmas (I'm only about $150 short).

don't forget to get the wiring adapter, wiring for an amp, oh, and an amp. On the amp wiring run the heaviest gauge kit you can afford, amp will run cooler and produce better bass, along with a very good, clean short ground.
It really all depends on how much money you want to spend and what kind of sound quality you are looking for. I run Polk/Momo mmc650's in the rear, Infinity Kappa 62.9is's in the front, and a 12" mtx sub, all powered by 2 400 watt amps and its one of the best sounding systems I have every had. With that being said, I paid quite a bit for everything but the sound quality is worth it to me. It all goes back to you get what you pay for and if you spend $30 on speakers they are going to sound like $30 speakers.

I can't believe anybody still buys from Crutchfield. Their prices are ridiculous(most things).
sonicelectronix.com, woofersetc.com and hifisound.com have great deals. Especially if you're on a budget and don't mind a refurb here and there.
I have an entire Infinity and Kicker audio setup in my Mustang and bought it all new from Sonic for something like 500 bucks. 2 12's, 3 400w amps and components front/rear.
You can find killer car audio deals these days. Back when I was 16 everything was priced so retarded.

I use MA Audio and I'm very happy with their products. cheaper than sony and much better quality. they don't make great competition audio equipment, but who needs competition?

Actually, the higher end MA Audio stuff is quite awesome. I like that whole group of electronics. Hifonics, AutoTek, Crunch and MA Audio are all products of MAXXIS Electronics.
Hifonics amps and subs are great and a great value. I punished a Hifonics Brutus amp in 1 ohm load on a set of Kicker CVR 10's that would put alot of other 10's and even 12's to shame. That amp was putting out nearly 720 watts when measured.
I'm currently running some Lanzar 5 1/4 co-ax's in my Cherokee just running off of 52x4 Kenwood deck power. I picked up the Lanzar's for 30$ a set and the Kenwood for 65$ I've yet to add a sub due to the Cherokee being small and I need the cargo space. I was very impressed with the Lanzars performance and price. Keep in mind I have a high end Infinity compenent set in my Mustang, so I know what "quality" can sound like.

I listen to mostly rock, but I also listen to alittle bit of hip hop and a few things related but mostly what I listen to is rock/new age rock. So they would be good for that then?

Im going to go for that and what would be good wire to run? like brand/quality wize? And the wiring adapter for my 98 is already in the dash.

And to everyone who posted there own set ups there nice but I dont want to drop that much money into the jeep. I got it for $200 and I dont want to put more then that into the system. I dont need something perfect, I just need something thats going to sound decent and last me for awhile until I get more money.

That right there is 175$ Toss in 25 bucks or a tad more for wiring and you have a good cheap little setup. Spend another 60-80$ for a 50x4 watt NAME BRAND deck and it'll be all you ever need.

The box needed for the sub is super small(.35 cu/ft) so you could basically just build a box to encase the subwoofer and leave you tons of space left.
