Default Pulling the Trigger on AC replacement?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently going through a rebuild on a 1995 jeep xj with 4.0 and manual trans.
I was talking to my father in-law and we're discussing the idea of a full AC overhaul and if I would be fine without doing a complete overhaul. I have bought everything except the two heater core, ac evap core, and the fan. He told me those three things are going to be essential because the heater core is going to clog my rad and if it doesn't clog it at some point it is going to start leaking and he said if the ac evap core doesn't already leak that if theres any gunk in it it'll blow up one of my ac hoses. I see his logic but honestly I wanna get the Jeep finished and don't want to have to remove the dash cause its just a pain. So my question is can I still do the job right without replacing these last couple parts?

Thank you everyone,
