Hey Everyone,
As you can see from my signature, one of our Grand Cherokees is a '14 WK2 Limited that we bought used in 2016 with 53k miles on the odometer. Over the past 4.5 years, we've enjoyed the Jeep, and it's a huge improvement over our old '05 WK. We've done regular maintenance, replaced wiper blades, etc., and had all recall work done at the Jeep dealer, and it now has 151k miles on the odometer (which means we've driven it about 100k miles since we bought it). With only about a year left on the loan, and with the Jeep being worth about as much as we still owe on it, would it be worth upgrading to either a lower-mileage 2018 (I want Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) Limited or Overland with the ProTech II Package, or a new Limited or Overland with the same options? We got more features over our '05
I work for a Jeep dealership, and we have an '18 Overland with 27k original miles, but it has the 5.7L HEMI V8 (NO tow package, which is pointless if you're going to upgrade to the HEMI), but I really don't want to go for the HEMI since we drive a lot and I've enjoyed the good fuel economy of our 3.6L V6-powered '14 WK2 Limited. The only thing wrong with the '14 WK2 we have is that the blend door actuator is broken, which means that the passenger side only blows cool air (not ice cold or warm or hot, but just fan-like cool, if that makes any sense). When I had its 150k mile oil change done at the Jeep dealer this past Saturday, they told me it was throwing an HVAC code, which is most likely the blower motor actuator. Other than that, *knock on wood* no issues. Again, it's worth about what we still owe on it, and I don't know whether I should just trade it in or keep it for a bit. Let me know what you guys think!
What would you guys suggest I do? Any input would be appreciated!
