Default Not a bad deal...

Just got my '91 XJ Limited for $700. Found the top rubber for my front shock under the hood just laying there, then saw that passenger front shock didn't even have a nut on top of it! lol... It owned by a woman, so spotless interior, fluids haven't been changed in ages and undercarriage was never taken care of. Rocker panels are pretty much all rusted off (which I knew about before I bought it) and a few minor holes in the floorboards here and there. 195,000 miles on the clock and it looks like the engine has been changed. Selec-Trac works great and everything. Not a bad buy at all

92 JY radiator, in my 99, this thing was not in good condition, and the tranny pan bolt was stripped.

Found a scale in my first Jeep, an Black 89 Comanchee 4x4 shortbed. Must have been from one of those "Fishing Trips". The MJ was really well taken care of though. I miss that Jeep, even though I traded it for my first XJ back in early 2001.

The PO of my jeep installed automatic windows but put all the switches on a black piece of plastic and put it over the ash tray in the middle console. He also tried to take out the manual window handles by cutting into the door panel rather then taking the door panel off. He also wanted speakers in the rear doors(4 door) so he just cut wholes into the door panel, but for some reason when i bought it, the speakers were gone, so now i just have 2 huge holes. The Previous Owner of my jeep seemed like a guy who liked to jimmy rig everything.

After i looked at mine the first time, I told them I would come back the next day to finish the transaction. One hour later I got a call, they couldn't get the drivers side window up and tried to pull it up with pliers, shattering the window.

By the time I got there the next day, they had a new window taped in because they couldn't get the motor up, and didn't want the window to ruin the sale. 3 hours later i had my window installed and working.

I still haven't gotten all of the broken glass out of the door, its stuck to some brown goop.

And there was an outlet coming out of the grill, which was attached to nothing on the inside of the hood????

Half a smoked jay under the rear bench seats. And found the original owners manual, BEHIND the glovebox.

i found 4 nicely welded in pace shocks and 4 very roughy choped up fenders covered by bushwackers.

He even went to the extent of cutting past the pinch seam in the rear, then trying to fix it with bondo and fiberglass.

Black Cat fireworks in the ashtray ... I'm a smoker. I posted a thread previously on the matter. Ha.

A wee toy sounding pedal cart after market horn ... just bolted to the fender well ... not wired at the time.

Have only had vehicle a couple weeks so I'm sure to find more goodies. Otherwise happy with it though.

I found a dead raccoon in the cargo area, behind the spare tire. Pretty disgusting. Also, about 2 lbs of illegal fireworks under the rear bench seat, along with loaded magnum and a bag of marijuanna.

Kidding guys. Hahaha. Most I found was some dog hair and old kmart receipts.

Broken driver's seat, & some kind of weird antenna that is still in the driver's sun visor. It'd Tee shaped.
