Premium Shock Bolt Package
I chnaged te rear shocks in my Dads cherokee today. I had removed the carpet and crap in anticipation of having to cut into the floor to change the shock bolts as my Dads cherokee is a 90 with the original shocks and spent most of its life in OH with the road salt. Didnt even bother PB blasting them I was just going to snap them off. Well amazingly out of 4 none of them snapped. He must have invested in the Premium Shock Bolt Package from the factory I guess.

Its the easiest way to get at the shock bolts. I was following rock lizard fabs writeup when I was changing the shocks.

not really. While you were under there, you notice the two big triangular holes? what you do is take an air hammer, or a sledge and chisel and knock those broken bolts up into the body, then just reach through those triangular holes with a new bolt on the end of a wrench (tape) or on the end of one of those little 99 cent telescopic magnets, drop it through the hole and put a nut on the end. no cutting required. The passenger side rear shock you can even reach in there and drop the bolt in with your fingers. had to do it on mine, then the other day did it on my buddies when he was installing his 3 inch lift. took about 5-10 minutes.
