throttle body spacer is pretty much useless in my opinion. they use them on carbs to give the air and fuel more time to mix properly to get that 14.1:1? ratio. some people say they see a difference though... but stroking your engine would the the biggest gain of power. i think i might have gotten some increased power from my 2.5" exhaust but it might have been the very well needed oil change i did at the same time????

There is several things you can do. Such as header, catback, injectors, bored tb, electric fan conversion will add to your c.a.i. and tb spacer.

I was thinking about the 4.6 stroker but then again that's more money. Has any one seen the xj mag with the 5.0 stroker from the 4.0? That thing is insane the dyno was like 740hp and 795torqe that crazy but awesome

The insane inline, jp mag is the one that originally covered that build. Awesome power, just makes me wonder how reliable it is. I'm sure that stroking your engine will be a great improvement, and probably worth the money. I know i have wanted to do it for a long time.

I no this is no help to you, but I don't understand why you need more power. it's an xj, not a srt. not meaning to rant
But if I wanted a jeep with power, I'd keep my xj the way it is, and go buy a v8 g Cherokee.

Regearing is going to more efficient and effective than trying to make more power, plain and simple.

It varies, look on your differential covers for a tag. It should say.

I'm always looking for a little more power too. Can't help it. I've done a few things to mine including a 99 intake, apn header, flowmaster, neon injectors, and a comp cams extreme 4x4 cam. I did have a big bore throttle body on it it and that made the most difference, but it wasn't bored smoothly so it idled a little rough, but MAN did that thing make a difference. Gears are also a great power adder. Porting and polishing the head isn't a bad idea either.
