I don't think they're quite the same. that neon has a dohc motor and 5 spd trans. it runs all right, I suppose. he just put a stainless long tube on it lol still waiting on him to install one of his nitrous kits.

I pulled a 3 ton 6 wheel ( I believe) steel trailer a few weeks back loaded down with bamboo for a day party...up a hill, then down a hill. Wasn't pretty, didn't over heat but got hot.

Oh, and I pull my dumb *** brothers out of mud/dirt roads regularly when they go dirt road riding at night to show off to girls but end up sleeping in their car... .......

Picture won't upload...gotta work on that.

I towed with my XJ for the first time last week. I bought a 5x8 trailer and used it to pull a pallet of sod, according to the guy at the landscape place the pallet is roughly 2000lbs + trailer 1500lbs give or take.

The XJ did surprisingly well, didn't stop worth a damn but did the job...

For the record props to landscaping dudes laying sod is a BEAST... Never again!

There were 3 guys in there, and a cane corso or presa canario.... I think a Presa because it didn't have the flappy jowls. the dog was mellow. Just sat in there.

It was a mitsubishi...something. I forget

I had 2 dogs with me--they're used to the park now... (Prairie City)

The steering was a little light with the weight on the hitch and didn't stop the best. I only towed it on back roads less than a couple miles to get home.

No pics but I pulled about 6000 lbs in a U-haul trailer from Louisiana to Montana in December. It did very well except in Wyoming where there were 60+mph gusts and the roads were covered in Ice. I had to go about 30 all the way across Wyoming and saw a few tipped over semis and like 2 other people on the road. Going down-hill was pretty terrifying as the U-haul weighed more than the Jeep and pretty much did the driving lol. Not something I will ever undertake again.
