Default Polk speakers fitment

i think i decided on polk speakers for my 2000 cherokee. im either gonna get the polk audio db651 or the polk audio dxi650. does anyone run these? will they fit in the front doors and the soundbar? i was also wondering if anyone knows the difference between the db and the dxis? im pretty sure they are the same but the dxis are the newer ones.

just want to make sure they bolt right in? thanks

heres a link to the speakers so you can see the depth and stuff.

You'll need 5.25" speakers those I think are 6.5" speakers. I believe they are dxi514? Not to sure but that's what I have in mine. I know my cousins jeep has 6.5's and they bulge the door panel and the sound bar they don't fit right so they kind of hang. You can modify the doors to fit them and I'm not to sure on the sound bar.

Can't comment on the fitment, but I can comment on the sound. I have the polk db651's in my boat, and they're plenty loud/clear. I wouldn't run them without an amp though...

I run 4 db651s with a nice Kenwood excelon deck. It's mint, speakers fit great. The polks rock... Amazing bang for your buck, and marine rated. I have a 10" sub too, rounds it all out nicely.

Btw, I have 6.5" in both doors plus sound bar, no fitment problems.

How did the 6.5s fit in the ceiling? Those are supposed to be 5.25s, are they not?

6.5" fit both front (doors) and rear (soundbar). I did 5.25's in my doors only because they were on sale.

I myself am running 125 watts RMS to the four corners. 200 watts RMS to the 10" sub. I used a 1400 Watt 5 -channel amp. (4x 250 watts Peak, 1x 400 watts peak)Sounds good, nice balance between the sub and speakers. I don't care for only hearing the thumping bass.
