Default please help me chose a tire

Bfg at ko? What my jeep came with stock I think ( that's what my spare is) vs the NEW toyo open country AT 2

I wheel mostly on gravel, dirt, and sand. I also want something good on the pavement.

Duratracs are a good all around tire. I see plenty of good reviews on them around here and elsewhere.

Not to say the bfg's aren't a good tire either...

Duratrac or Bfg at they will both be great choices. All of the canyon patrol LEO vehicles here in Utah run duratracs with no issues in the snow in the winter. They are also a modern at tire that seems to clean better then the Bfg which has not changed in 20 years but the Bfg works well so why change it right ?

newer computer designed treads work much better than old ones. The SS TSL used to be king of everything off road, and now its dominated by newer tech tires like the Pit Bull Rocker and Maxxis Creepy Crawler. Mall Terrains are only good in the sand, for a good A/T go for the duratrac or Dick Cepec F/C II. I know people who have run both and they are excellent in everything other than deep mud and jagged rocks (the goodyear has thin sidewalls)

I just got new tires this weekend. Went with Cooper that tires I believe they were exactly. They are comparable to the wrangler line of tires and for me a daily driver with no plans for off roading I believe these will work. They have that same snow ability as the wranglers and the warranty is 60,000 vs 50,000 miles. Not that I will ever hit that but it is there if I do. I also went with the stock size of 225-75 r 15...

I almost went with 215's instead as with my yj I went with a beefier tire but they suck in snow. But we shall see what these bring...

Both the bf a/ts and duratracs are good tires and both would be fine for the type of off-roading you described. The duratracs are more aggressive though and still are suppose to get 50K. I'm not sure where your located but if you get a decent amount of snow the duratracs are great for that.

Really just preference. There are a lot of guys who swear by duratracs.
