Default Playing in photoshop JK grill on an XJ

I was driving and noticed the new grill on the JK thats a metallic gray and liked it. Then I got to thinking I needed to see how it'd look on an XJ. Pulled up photoshop and a couple minutes later BAM!!! What do you guys think? I think this might be something I need to try fab'ing up.

Version w/ headlight surrounds matched to grill

Version with just the grill done

i bet it would be hard to do, the jk grills are tall, but it would definitely look cool

To fab it, it would need to be done from scratch since your right they are too tall. I just wanted to see how it looked.

Acesnines, do you not like it because or cause it came of a wrongler?

I dunno, it just looked too close (but not close enough) to the new Liberty. Out of the entire new lineup I'd probably pick that model if I were given a choice of a new Jeep free, but the way the 'shopping came out it just looks too inbetween.

(Maybe it's just the classic Cherokee lines not really meshing as well to me as with the original grille.)

kidding? i like it. but with the gray headlight bezels.
it still looks like the original, but just a little different. that's why i like it better than say a cj grille with round headlights. this just seems to fit. it's subtle.

I don't really dig it...which if anyone was gonna add a JK grill, probably would be me...as I already have a JK front bumper ;-)

Now, if one really, really wanted it...they could cut, patch, modify, fabricate up each slat to be closer and more narrow (or just make a new grill with original sheet metal) and make it look more like the factory XJ grill. But that is a ton of work.

Wait...I'm getting some ideas popping in my head. BBL, I need to hit up the sketch book and photoshop.
