Default Plastic wheel chocks?

I went to pickup a set of chocks and all they had were plastic ones?

I was expecting to get the solid rubber ones, so i check around and nobody has them, all they sell are these plastic ones.
They look like they would simply slide on the concrete.

Anyone use these?

Harbor Freight has some good ones. They are usually on sale and with a coupon can be had for less than $7. I keep a pair of them next to the front seats. With a 5spd they come in handy on the trail.

or you can go to your local shipping dock at any factory, they have them on chains there for the drivers to chock the trailers so they don't move when the forklifts go in and out.

no, don't do that either. lol. just buy them from harbourfreight.

Never had a problem with the plastic ones breaking. They're made out of HD plastic.

I've used both those and the rubber Harbor Freight ones. Hell, I've even used wood blocks.

I broke one of the plastic pcs of crap ones when winching and caught on a rock just under the soil.

When I had tow trucks we has lightweight ones small made out of aluminum and very heavy duty ones that were steel with teeth that had a chain that fit in the back of the truck box. You winched the duals back up on top of them then pulled, they would tear ruts in concrete for sure.
