Default pioneer stereo wiring

Hey guys. I bought a DEH-1300 to get me by for now. But just wondering how is it going to be to wire up the new stereo addapter??? I have the wiring colors I printed off, will the instructions tell me what wire is which when I get it???

you have to buy the appropriate wiring harness from best buy or wally world, then match up the wires...

But I thought the radio came with the wiring harness and stuff

it comes with the harness for the radio, not the vehicle its self. make a quick trip and get one, after that install is a cinch

My jeep had an aftermarket adapter so I think I have one already ill take a picture of it when I get home.

Okay so its a 16pin wiring harness. But it has the red and white just like a tv has. what are those for ?

Oh alright, i dont have a sub or amp and i dont wanna add one cause it would take up room unless i fabbed something special, So does anybody know how to wire this 16pin into the stock wires? I have the wiring diagram for the stock wires, but not this 16 pin.

i have a 16 pin wiring adapter thing that i need to wire up to my stock wiring, so i can then plug that into my deck. I think..... My new deck should be here in a few minutes. Let you know in a few mins.

Alright u should have a thing that plugs into the deck and it should have wires from it..... Then ull have u stock wires in ur jeep .... U should have to connect them

Man this is confusing I wired it all up and have a couple wires left over.... the stock harness that is...

You're gonna have extras...don't worry about it . 12volt constant, 12volt switched, ground and four speakers is all you're gonna need in a XJ.....
