to pinch, or not to pinch, that is the question.
I just picked up an 88 Cherokee, and will be wheeling the crap out of it. Im planning on pinching the front, and wanted to know if any of you have seen one, or done one? I will be narrowing the front by about 12" I have taken a bunch of measurements, and figured 6" per side is pretty reasonable. Any suggestions, or input would be helpful. Im no newbie to wheeling, or fabrication, just this forum. This is just something I have never seen and want to know if anyone else has done it.

Yep, that's exactly what Im talking about. That one doesn't look so good, but mine will. Of course there wont be much fender left any way. Once I have the BIGGER tires on her there will be vary large openings for them!

That Chevy has a frame. The XJ does not and derives its front strength (read ability to house the front springs) from its design. If you want to do that, plan on building a frame for it.

Im not worried about housing the springs, with what Im doing I wont need them. I am planning on building some sort of frame, but it will be mostly to mount the suspension to.
