Default A pillar Vs. Roof lights

What do you think is better ?
Post pic of yours.
How you wired them.

Trying to decide if I want them on the A pilar or roof.
Only prob with a pillar I'd have to buy mounts.

That's what I was thinking. But I might as well go with the lights on the roof because it's more light!!!!!!!!!!

I have bumper lights, but I know that's not what your asking. I've always wanted a spot light so eventually, hopefully when school comes and I don't pay out the *** for gas, I wanna get a spot light. Like the one the cops have. I've always liked the look of them there. Either the spot light on the a pillar or the ones on the roof but I don't wanna cut into my roof. But mounting ANYTHING on the a pillar runs the risk of cracking a windshield

Like mentioned, do em both!
My setup:

I am using the Hella Slim 500FFs on the pillars and am using Hella 1900 up top.
I also have 2 KCs on my front bumper.
All groups of lights are on there own switch. I did use relays in all wiring because I used what came with the kits and they all worked fine. I think for the lights on the roof I did have to splice in a little bit longer power wire but no biggie. Wiring is real simple.

Depends on what area you wheel in. If there a bunch of trees and small area of trail don't do the a pillar

I have 4 lights on my front bumper I use for driving and night trails.

I have four lights on the front of my roof rack and honestly only use them when i go street skating and we have no generator, she lights up the spot with the four up top. I've done several night runs and have never needed the extra light.

I purchased a single a pillar light mount from detour for the drivers side because I wanted it mainly for self adjustment. Last week I was on a trail and saw a wild horse at midnight. Granted I couldn't turn my jeep 90 degrees right to shine my lights on him for a picture, I grabbed my light on DETOURS mount and it worked amazingly.

Everyone has their own opinion on lights and some say I have too many, but they are never all on at on single time and all serve their own purpose.

Only light(s) I have mounted on my Jeep (for now), is a Police pillar spotlight from a Chevy Impala (I bought the correct bracket to mount on an XJ though):

Best picture I have of it right now installed, handle is hard to see.

I like this idea. This is what I wanna do. You could fold it down and outta the way when you hafta and then pop it back up when you need it
