I was thinking about mounting lights on the A-Pillar or Cowl but I have a concern. I heard that on light colored Xjs like white (which I have) that the light reflects back off the hood and blinds the driver. What are your thoughts or does anyone have any experience with this happening? Thanks

 

well i dont know bout a pillar lights but if my roof lights are too far forward, its blinds the crap outta me.

 

i have lights on the a pillars and iv never run into a blinding issue, although my lights suck ***** and arnt very bright.

 

Are you talking about a "spotlight" like what cop cars have? Or like KC lites on your A-pillar?

Detours a pillar mount is the best hands down. I mounted mine slightly differently ( bolt wise ). Built well and has lasted me two years thus far!!

 

I'm talking about kc lites or similar to it. I heard they reflect back off the hood

 

Does anyone know if the detour mounts will fit KC Highlites they look like the highlites might be too deep and the mount too shallow
