PICTURE REQUEST: "Standard" wheel mods
Well, im quickly giving up hope on getting the sweet Grizzlies off of the parts jeep, as the wheel stud is being a real PITA.
I have currently 3/4 wheels on the XJ Mk2 being the "standard 5 spoke" and one as the "standard 6 spoke". Only two of them have the original center caps.
In an attempt to clean them up, keep the rust off, and, well, look more appealing than they do, I was thinking of taking steel wool to them and painting them black, and getting replacement center caps and leaving them silver. I'm sure this is a common thing to do, painting the 'boring' stock wheels interesting colors. Anyone have any pics?
Pic related is the wheel of which I speak.

yeah this whole "cant get the wheel off" deal has REALLY soured my taste in the lame lugs with the beauty caps. Where did you snag them?
You use the Rustoleum paint on that?

Yep,Rustoleum satin black. Used it on the rocker panel area and above to. I got my lugs nuts online but can't remember where. I just had new tires put on my wife's Blazer locally and had them put real lugs nuts on it. Any tire dealer can get them for you. Hers were $1.25ea. for chrome. Black ones run close to $2 I believe.
