Red face Parts from other vehicles that fit on an XJ?

Hi guys,

I'm new to Jeeps and one thing I was wondering while I was at the junkyard the other day is the following:

What parts from other Jeeps (and vehicles that are not Jeeps) will bolt onto an XJ?

I know that the XJ shares a bolt pattern (on the wheels) with Ford Rangers, but I've also heard that the rear disc brakes from some other vehicle can be fit to an XJ.

Is there a good resource for finding cross-compatible parts that our beloved Cherokee's can borrow from other vehicles?

What parts have you guys been able to fit from other vehicles?

Go to OEM tech. There's a sticky called "Budget Builds: What Junkyard parts will fit Cherokee". You'll find all your answers there

I wish there was a "Cherokee Dictionary for Beginners". There's quite a bit of terminology circulating the forum that I have no idea what it means.

If it's a term you're unsure of you can google the term and usually get excellent results. What term are you referring to? Sticky?

What is a Sticky?
A sticky topic, or "sticky" refers to a topic which has been marked as important. Typically, these are displayed at the top of the message index above other topics and are often shown slightly differently.
