You what to take the lights off of your jeep. Then wet sand the entire tail light lens that you plan to paint i would use a fine grit sand paper. You want to get all of the blemishes out so the paint dries rite. Use a warm water when wet sanding. Then make sure you get the entire light. Once you sand begin to tape. Tape the reverse lights and whatever else. Then wipe with isopropyl alcohol to get all oils and other topical substances. Begin painting. Take nice even sprays that are not very thick or close. You don't want the paint to run. After each coat let the paint dry. Then wet sand each coat lightly and malaise they are all smoooth. Then proceed to repat the spraying part. Apply as many coats as you please. However if you are painting them red I would go out to a street styles and get some super bright and high quality LED tail light bulbs for visibility purposes. Then just wet sand the last coat and apply a clearcoat sealer.
