We painted a Smiley Face (Yellow and Black) on my Son's old XJ. Funny as hell watching it go down the trail or over obstacles.

Silver would look good. Once I buy my new diff covers they will be painted silver along with the 1 ton steering. To match my re springs and trackbar

Its a diff that gets beat on. Did flat black on my old one. I like the color of my solid diff covers. I just left them how they came.

flat black, the oem supplier does them that color for a reason. to not draw attention to drivetrain componets. this was figured out by lots of college educated people wearing suits & sitting at a big table in fancy building. so it must be right.

The more built the rig the more you can get away with flashy colors.

Painting stock components bright colors just screams "lookie at meeeeee!!!!!!"
