I'm really considering painting / undercoating my rear axle. I have never done anything like this to my Xj before so I was looking for a little advice from those who have.
Estimated time of project?
What's the best paint or undercoating products to use?
Preparation?
Is this even worth doing?
Simple questions along those lines..
Tell me all I need to know:P Thanks!

Start with the prep. Use a good degreaser or engine cleaner and a pressure washer. If you plan any mods or lift down the road use PB blaster on bolts that might be removed. Then use engine paint for the finishing touch. Personally, I would stay away from undercoating on axles, springs, shocks etc.
