Here we go again with good ole P0201..... Just bought my new to me 97 Jeep Cherokee with a low 200k. Took the kids to Nanny's house for Easter, while there popped the hood up to check things out. Noticed the wires to no.1 injector were almost broke in two. I unwrapped them and then they were in two. Stripped them back and twisted them together just to make it home and it ran like crap. Check engine light came on and every now and then would flash. It seemed like it was only running on 5 cylinders, which it was. Got home soldered the connections retaped but still ran like crap. Took it up to get scanned and came back with P0201 and P0301. Jeep sat for unknown amount of time before I purchased, I plan to do plugs, wires, cap and rotor along with an injector on no.1 Should I look into anything else?? Thanks for your help.

Had the two damaged wires. Those are repaired. Got scanner from a friend cleared codes. Then it wouldn't start. Checked for codes again and got a P0320. Everything I have read here now points to the CPS.
